Dress Code

The following items are allowed and/or required:

Plain, white shirt with collar and sleeves
Taft polo shirt with collar and sleeves
Any Taft authorized sportswear
Royal blue, gray or white undershirt
Plain, white sweatshirt or sweater
Plain, dark blue or black pants, must cover the ankle
Plain, blue or black jeans, must cover the ankle
Plain, dark blue or black skirt, knee length or longer

The following items are NOT allowed:

Non-school colored undershirts
Sandals or flip-flops
Hats, bandannas, do-rags, etc.
Elastic bands restricting pant legs or sleeves
Graffiti, drawing or artwork on clothing
Low cut or belly shirts
Sweatpants or jogging pants

Also, skateboards, rollerblades and any body art or paraphernalia associated with or promoting graffiti, drugs, gangs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms or gambling are prohibited on school property.

Personal music devices are not permitted in the classrooms.

Pagers and mobile phones must be turned off prior to entering the building and may not be used or visibly displayed during school hours.

Please Note: Any item not specifically addressed here, but deemed to be seriously detrimental to the educational process may be prohibited at the administration's discretion.
