Safety and Security

Increasingly, parents who drive their children to school are creating conditions which seriously compromise the safety of all Taft students. Students who are driven to school are to be dropped off on Bryn Mawr, Avondale or Natoma. DO NOT drop off in the parking lots.

Please discuss the following items with your student:

While Superman may be faster than a speeding bullet, the same cannot be said for students who go around railroad crossing gates or cross Nagle, Bryn Mawr, and Avondale against the traffic lights.
Students are not to congregate near the school or at bus stops at the end of the day. They are stronly encouraged to board the buses (Route 68-Jefferson Park and Route 91-Austin) on Natoma Avenue. Students who elect to board buses at other stops are still under the school's jurisdiction and subject to school rules.
